Mitch Masters

Mitch is a Clinical Psychologist here at Mind On Health.

Mitch is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, and an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). He has completed a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours, and is a current PhD Candidate (Clinical).

The focus of Mitch’s PhD research has been to develop a measure for assessing the ways in which children and adolescent’s regulate their emotions in response to stress, and to use this information to identify the patterns of emotion regulation that place young people at the greatest risk for internalising disorders. Mitch has also been invited to present his research at a number of international conferences, including the Society for Research on Adolescents (SRA) and the International Society for the Study of Behavioural Development (ISSBD). His research has also been published in the international Journal of Early Adolescence (JEA).
Mitch is actively involved in the assessment of children with early developmental difficulties. He is passionate about evidence-based practice, and has extensive experience working with children and families from complex backgrounds.
